1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Home Audio Sync, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

2. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 13 years old or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction to use the service.

3. Usage Rules

You agree to use Home Audio Sync only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not upload, store, or share any content that you do not own or have the legal rights to distribute. Redistribution, public performance, or unauthorized streaming of copyrighted content is strictly prohibited. You may not attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the service.

4. Subscription and Payments

Subscription fees, if applicable, are billed in advance and are non-refundable. You may cancel your subscription at any time, but you will not receive a refund for the remaining time in the current billing cycle. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time with appropriate notice.

5. Privacy

We collect, store, and use your information as outlined in our Privacy Policy. By using Home Audio Sync, you consent to such collection and use of your data.

6. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all music and files you upload to the platform. However, you grant Home Audio Sync a license to store, process, and transmit your files to your connected devices. You affirm that you either own the content or have obtained all necessary rights to upload and distribute it.

7. Prohibited Activities

You are prohibited from using the service to upload or distribute copyrighted material without permission, rebroadcast music to unregistered users or third parties, or circumvent any security or DRM technologies. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

8. Internet Radio

Home Audio Sync can play publicly available internet radio streams. It is important that you understand what we do and do not do here.

We do not transmit radio audio. When you play a station, your own device connects directly to that station and receives the stream from them, exactly as it would if you opened the address in a web browser or a media player such as VLC. Radio audio never passes through, and is never stored or cached by, our servers. We do not modify streams, and we do not remove, replace, or skip station advertising. From the station's point of view you are an ordinary listener: your own connection, counted in their listener numbers, receiving their advertising.

What we provide is a directory and a synchronisation tool. We list stations, hand your device the station's public address, and coordinate the timing of playback across your devices so they stay aligned.

We are not affiliated with any station and hold no licence from any of them. Stations are independent third parties. Their content, their advertising, and their own terms of use are theirs, not ours. A station may change its address, restrict access, or go offline at any time, and we cannot guarantee that any particular station will keep working.

Regional availability. Radio stations are shown based on the country you appear to be in, determined from your network connection. This is a good-faith relevance filter based on our own tagging of stations; it is not, and cannot be, a guarantee about broadcasting rights in your territory, because stations do not publish the territories they are licensed for. Stations we have not assigned a region to are not shown at all, and if we cannot determine your country we will not show you any. You cannot change which country's stations we present to you.

Searching for other countries' stations. Station search also defaults to your own country. You may deliberately widen it to search elsewhere, and you may keep a station you find that way. That is your choice, not a recommendation from us: we do not know which territories any station is licensed for, we tell you when a station broadcasts from somewhere other than where you are, and a station you add is visible only to you. You are responsible for ensuring your use of it is lawful where you are.

Do not circumvent regional availability. You may not use a VPN, proxy, or any other means to misrepresent your location in order to access stations not shown in your country. Location detection based on network address is inherently approximate and we make no promise that it is accurate, but deliberately defeating it is a breach of these Terms and may result in suspension of your account.

Stations you add yourself. If you add a station from a public directory, that is your choice and your act, not a station we have selected or endorsed. Stations you add are visible only to you. You are responsible for ensuring your use of any station you add is lawful where you are.

Personal and household use only. The service is intended for private listening among your own devices and household. Playing radio or any other audio in a commercial setting, or anywhere open to the public, may require licences from performing rights organisations or other rightsholders. Obtaining those licences is your responsibility, not ours, and nothing in this service should be taken as providing them.

Station requests. If you operate a radio station and want it removed from our directory, email support@homeaudiosync.com and we will remove it promptly. We do not require a legal notice to honour such a request.

9. DMCA and Copyright Complaints

If you believe your copyrighted material has been uploaded or used improperly on Home Audio Sync, please see our DMCA Policy for instructions on submitting a takedown request.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

We may delete inactive accounts or content after a defined period as set forth in our data retention policy. Users can remove their own content at any time through the platform's account settings.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or misuse the service. We also reserve the right to discontinue the service at our discretion, with or without notice.

12. Limitation of Liability

Home Audio Sync is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, unauthorized access, or legal disputes related to user-uploaded content.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Home Audio Sync, its affiliates, employees, and licensors from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the platform or your violation of these Terms.

14. Modifications to the Service

We may modify or discontinue the service, features, or these Terms at any time. Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
